Pedasi is a famous district in the Azuero Peninsula. It is one of Panama’s hidden gems, which only in recent years began to attract international tourism and investors.
However, thanks to the conservationist policies of the Panamanian government, the place has never lost its wild state. Today, the entire region is a sanctuary for plants and animal species that can only be found in this region of the world. There are plenty of forests protected and untouched by human activity. Rivers and waterfalls complete the landscape. Also, Pedasi is one of the best spots in the world to practice sport fishing. Pedasi is as well the name of the capital city of the district. Until a little over 10 years ago, it was a fishermen’s town. Now it offers a charming and scenic village feel, but also a modern offer regarding Panama beach vacation rentals. From beach condo rentals to oceanfront houses!

Playa Venao is home to a phenomenon that only occurs on a handful of beaches in the world.
We refer to the famous “arribada” (arrival). Between three and five times a year, especially between July and January, thousands of turtles come to Playa Venao to lay their eggs. The 14 kilometers of protected beaches are the perfect refuge for five different species of turtles.
